A free program for Android, by SnakeHub.
SnakeHub is a free database to provide detailed information about snakes of India in three languages.
We are the first to offer a comprehensive database of all the snakes of India. In addition to the information about their geographical distribution, habitat, ecology, and behaviour, we also provide a detailed account of the species, including their anatomy, physiology, and evolution.
We have divided the snakes of India into four categories: non-venomous, mildly venomous, venomous (usually non-fatal), and venomous (potentially fatal). We have provided the basic information about each species, including its name, the place where it is found, its habitat, and its diet.
To illustrate the difference between the four categories, we have provided an example of a venomous snake. We have also included a list of hospitals that can treat snakebites and the names of local snake rescuers who can help in safely removing the snakes.
